What is badder?
Badder (also spelled batter) is not an extraction method, it’s a texture. You can think of it as a cannabis extract that has been whipped during the purge until it takes on a smooth, opaque, frosting-like consistency that scoops easily. Badder can be made from live or cured material, which is why you see both live resin badder and cured resin badder.
What is the difference between badder, budder, and wax?
All three describe consistency, not quality or process. Badder is soft and whipped like cake batter. Budder is denser and more butter-like. Wax is drier and more crumbly. Live badder vs. live resin. What’s the difference?
So, they start the same. Both come from flash-frozen flower. But, live resin describes the extract itself, which usually stays saucy or syrupy, and live badder is that same extract whipped into a scoopable texture. You trade a small amount of the most volatile terpenes during whipping for a product that is much easier to handle and dose.
What are diamonds and sauce?
When live resin sits under controlled conditions, it separates. THCA crystallizes into “diamonds” that carry most of the potency, and the remaining liquid becomes a terpene-rich “sauce” that carries the flavor. Recombining the two gives you diamonds and sauce, the potency of crystalline THCA with the aromatic character of the source flower.

How do I dab badder?
Like most first time cannabis use, start low and slow. Heat your banger and let it cool to roughly 450–500°F, load a small scoop, then cap it. Going hotter scorches the terpenes you paid for and turns a flavorful dab harsh. And, a pro tip, start with less than you think you need, concentrates are considerably stronger than flower.
How should I store my concentrates?
Cool, dark, and airtight. A sealed container in the refrigerator will preserve terpenes longest, but let the jar come back to room temperature before you open it so condensation does not form on the oil. Keep it out of direct sunlight.
How much concentrate can I buy in California?
